Alpaca Overview¶

Alpaca is the architecture for the virtualization stacks at each Regional Data Center (RDC). It currently utilizes VMware vSphere, vCenter, and NSX to provide a private cloud environment for our customers. This Module will cover the components and configurations that are associated with Alpaca as well as the tooling that is used to deploy it.

By the end of this Module, you should be able to:

Explain the Purpose of Alpaca
Understand the Components that make up Alpaca
Explain the tools used for the deployment of Alpaca
Explain the process use to verify that the deployment is healthy
